WA Insolvency Solutions co-hosts Women in Business event

WA Insolvency Solutions (WAIS), in conjunction with Walker Andersen, hosted a hugely successful Women in Business networking event in Perth recently.

The evening was led by six inspiring female leaders – including Trudie Walsh, Principal at WAIS, Jirsch Sutherland’s WA operation – who shared their thoughts and experiences on the role women play in the financial services sector.

The other mentors, from chartered, commercial and legal backgrounds were:

More than 75 women attended the “speed dating” and cocktail event, which is held quarterly by Walker Andersen.

Much of the roundtable discussions centred on the careers of the guest speakers and the challenges they faced in reaching their positions, including their successes and obstacles.

“The opportunity to share and connect with such knowledgeable leaders as well as all the business women who attended was inspirational and invaluable,” Trudie says.

“Each of the guest speakers has had a unique journey so combined we were able to share a range of experiences and insights.”
