Community Engagement
With offices around Australia, we play an active role as part of the communities in which we live and work. We’re committed to making a positive social impact by actively engaging with and contributing to local charities, sporting organisations and community groups.
At Jirsch Sutherland, this involves actively participating in fundraising events, providing sponsorships and sitting on boards, which in turn helps us build stronger connections and be of service to the community.
For many years we have sponsored the Mosman Rugby Club, aka The Whales, and a number of charities and not-for-profit organisations including Surfest Newcastle, Australia’s biggest festival of surfing; the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service; Oxfam Australia Trailwalker; The Colour Run; and Operation Do Something, a charity established and managed by Newcastle Partner Steward Free.
We give and we participate too
We thoroughly enjoy participating in many of the fundraising events held by each of the charities we support. We train, team up and test our endurance on the Oxfam Trailwalker, get coated in paint on the ‘happiest 5k on the planet’ Colour Run and host aspiring professional teen surfers during Surfest.
