Origins Jirsch Sutherland was formed by Roderick Mackay Sutherland in 1984 to operate as a specialist insolvency practice. Since that time the practice has grown to be a major player in the insolvency, turnaround and forensic fields of accounting having undertaken a large cross section of appointments in a wide range of industries. Levelling the playing field Jirsch Sutherland was formed to fulfil a specific purpose. Large accounting and legal firms have long had the benefit of in-house insolvency and turnaround capabilities and, more recently, in-house forensic accounting skills. Our purpose is to provide small and midsize accounting and legal firms - and more importantly their clients - with access to the same levels of expertise, professionalism, resources and experience as their larger counterparts. In all fairness to our clients The advice that we provide is always the advice that best serves our clients’ interests. If that doesn’t happen to serve ours, so be it. We would rather forgo revenue than forgo our reputation. The right results, in accelerated time These help to simplify processes, lower costs and achieve the two things that often mean the most to our clients: a clean and equitable financial resolution; and, in the quickest time possible. When and where you need us We offer clients a network of offices in New South Wales and Victoria, and a large and diverse professional staff.
